Our Mission Statement Our purpose is to promote the cognitive, physical, creative and social/emotional development of preschool children. We offer an integrated curriculum based on principles of early childhood development which integrates language arts, mathematics, science, art, music, drama, literature, health and physical education.
Families Own and Operate the School We are a cooperative preschool. You have the opportunity to be involved in your child's education. Experts agree that parental involvement in a child's education fosters high self-esteem and better school performance in the child. We also offer our preschool to a limited amount of children whose parents may not be able to participate in the cooperative arrangement, but want their children to enjoy the benefits of a cooperative preschool. We are governed by a Board made up of preschool parents. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin.
The Co-op Commitment * Due to COVID restrictions we do not have the usual opportunities for parents to help out in the classroom. *Parents can help out with serving voluntarily on the board to help with making school decisions. * Parents are asked to help supply a box of supplies for their individual student. *Fundraisers are also a part of our yearly school activities parents help out with.
* Parents agree to provide a nutritional snack and drink for their child daily. This includes, if you wish, a group drink & snack for your child's birthday which does not have to be nutritional.
* Parents are required to participate in the preschool's fundraisers or they may opt out by paying $45 per fundraiser missed. Our current requirement is 2 fundraisers per year.
