We have our first Open House for enrollment generally in February.
Orientation is held in August and school starts the second Monday of September.
Parchment Methodist Preschool is excited to be using the program “Handwriting without Tears” in our 3-day class. It’s a great program that will help your child learn how to write their letters in a developmentally appropriate way. Our focus on handwriting goes along with the discussion of a letter of the week.
Each child will have his or her own workbook to go along with the program. The workbooks are a great opportunity for your child to practice the things we are learning at school. More information about the "Handwriting without Tears program can be found at http://www.hwtears.com/
Another part of our literacy program is ZooPhonics. This program introduces an animal character to go along with each letter of the alphabet. Besides learning the sounds for the letters, students will also be learning a motion to go along with each animal letter as well. More information about the ZooPhonics program can be found at http://www.zoo-phonics.com/index.html
